Contact us
Email hello@spiffyvault.net.
It helps if you tell us your device (for example iPhone, Android, Mac or Windows), the app version (shown in Settings) and what you were doing when the problem happened.
Never send anyone your recovery phrase, including us. We will never ask for it, and anyone who does is trying to take your funds.
Common questions
I lost my device. Can I get my wallet back?
Yes, if you have your recovery phrase: install SpiffyVault on another device and restore with it. Without the phrase, nobody, including us, can recover your wallet, because your keys never leave your device.
My payment to someone who was offline hasn't arrived.
Between SpiffyVault users, a payment to someone who is offline waits, encrypted, in their mailbox on our relay until their app next comes online and collects it. If they never collect it, the app offers to reclaim it, and the funds come back to your wallet.
Why can't I pay someone's address?
SpiffyVault refuses to pay an address that belongs to a different network from your wallet's (for example a mainnet address from a testnet wallet), because the payment could never arrive. During the testnet beta, SpiffyVault works only with BSV testnet coins.
How do I delete my account and data?
There is no SpiffyVault account; your identity lives on your devices. To delete an identity and everything it published, open the identity's screen in the app and choose Destroy identity & data. This deletes its profile, pictures, published keys, online status, directory listing and mailboxes from our relay, and all its data on that device. Delete identity only removes it from that one device. Transactions already on the blockchain can't be deleted by anyone.
If you can no longer use the app, email us and we'll help.
Does SpiffyVault hold my money?
No. Your keys are created and kept on your device. We can't see, move, freeze or recover your funds.
